Me, 1986

I make one-of-a-kind cakes, cupcakes and desserts for clients in Westchester County, New York City and surrounding areas.

I bake because I believe that desserts can and should taste as good as they look and who hasn't been disappointed by cakes that look fantastic but taste just so-so? I believe that we should be able to pronounce and spell everything that we eat, especially desserts, and I try not to get too annoyed that many grocery store and bakeries sell cupcakes and cakes with ingredient lists a mile long.

I graduated from the pastry/baking program at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City in 2006. While there, I had the opportunity to study with renowned cake artist Toba Garrett and do an externship at Blue Hill at Stone Barns, a food lover's paradise and one of my favorite places on earth. I'm a book publicity and public relations veteran, with a little (ok, a lot of) social media geekiness thrown in, and now juggle baking with full-time parenthood.
